Aberdeen Office Equipment, Great NorthWest Federal Credit Union, Dominos Pizza and KIX 95.3 are teaming up to “Salute a Teacher” and we need your help. Nominate your favorite teacher. It’s easy. This month’s Teacher of the Month is Myka Jugum.  Myka teaches 6th grade at Robert Gray Elementary school.  She loves teaching kids and seeing “The light go on” in their heads.  Take a listen to my interview with her below.

Our Teacher of the month is Hoquiam High School Spanish teacher Fidel Sanchez.  Fidel has been teaching for many years and loves to challenge the students.  His favorite thing to see students in the real world applying the skills they learned in his class.  Take a listen to the interview with Fidel below.

Our Teacher of the month for March is Adria Hay, the principal and upper grade teacher at Grays Harbor Adventist Christian School.  She has been teaching for around 11 years and enjoys helping kids learn.  Here is her interview below, take a listen and enjoy hearing about her life.

 

 

February 2017 Winner of Teacher of the Month is Melissa Floch, 6th grade teacher at A.J. West in Aberdeen.  Melissa is on her 3rd year teaching and is really loved by her kids.  She has a great outlook on life and likes spending time getting to know the kids in her care.  Congrats Melissa!  Below find the entire interview with her.


January 2017 Winner of Teacher of the Month is Janette Mitchell, 2nd grade teacher from Cosmopolis. Elementary School.

 

Janette has been teaching for 25 years!  She loves the kids and they are a joy for her.  I got to sit down and talk with her recently and this is what she had to say:

Ellen has been teaching for over 30 years and has been working with pre-schoolers for over 20.  Her approach is one of caring and spending time with the children.  She is loved by her community and is an amazing example of how teachers can make a difference. Suzy was nominated by her husband, Brian. He took the time to write a wonderful and touching nomination explaining the talents and gifts plus passion for teaching that he sees in her on a daily basis. Suzy has been teacher for over 18 years and started in Edmunds, winding up on the Harbor with her husband children.
